A raw, intimate collection about surviving the hardest seasons of your life — and finding your way back to the light.

This book sits with the heaviness most people silence. It quietly untangles heartbreak, anxiety, grief, identity, and the slow process of becoming someone new. Each piece is written to make you feel understood, less alone, and seen in the places you've kept hidden.

These pages hold:

* honest reflections on pain, healing, and resilience

* short poems that hit deep and stay with you

* reminders that growth is messy, nonlinear, and still worth it

* gentle encouragement for anyone carrying more than they can name

If you're looking for a companion through change, loss, or rebuilding your sense of self, In between the lines offers a voice that feels like exhaling — soft, human, and real.

Review

Both books and poems I've read from you have given me the same experience. I find myself slipping into the pages, imagining my own feelings shifting as I read. It's truly moving. I never buy books or poetry unless they're for my daughter, but this is different.

This is something I want to keep. It's heartfelt, beautiful, and meaningful. It's the kind of book I'll keep on my bedside table, created by a well-published author and artist I personally know, someone who poured love, memories, and deep, deep thoughts into every page.

- Selena Marie

Each poem is breathtakingly and beautifully constructed. Each sentence is craftily and intricately put together. Each word I read fills me up, and I can’t get enough! I can’t stop reading!

I am so excited for the world to get to read this! You are beyond talented Ky!!!!

- Bailey Roe

From the Author

When I first began In between the lines, I didn't know where to start. I felt lost, uncertain, and kept beginning again and again. But through that process, I learned what it means to create something honest, something that feels true.

Every rewrite, every late night, and every moment of doubt became part of this book's story. Finishing it taught me that growth isn't always loud or certain- sometimes it's found quietly, in the space between who you were and who you're becoming.

From the Back Cover

Telling stories is a beautiful thing

knowing that each person you encounter

must experience

feeling broken,

the truth of humanity,

mending of the soul,

and understand being reborn.

About the Author

Ky (Kyler) Quick is a writer who believes stories are more than words on a page— they are bridges: between brokenness and healing, between isolation and connection, between who we were and who we are becoming.

After twenty-five years in Fairbanks, Alaska, Ky stepped into a new chapter in Buckeye, Arizona. It is here, shaped by both landscapes, that he continues to write of struggle and resilience, loss and renewal, endings and rebirths.

His work in mental health, his love for family and animals, and the challenges that have tested and strengthened him all live quietly within his poetry. Each line is a reminder that even in the darkest hours, there is still light to be found— and that none of us are ever truly alone.
