Foam Portrait featuring an original poem from my book in between the lines. Quiet, intimate, and painfully familiar, this piece reads like a memory you can hang on the wall. Lightweight and modern with a smooth finish, it is made to last while keeping the softness of the original page.
Poem text
in relation to coffee // sugar packets
you’re as dark
as the liquid itself
but even i’ve learned
to know that darkness by name.
you’re as hollow
as an emptied sugar packet,
but somehow,
i’ll still be the one
strapped into a straight jacket...
you’re the coffee
on my grandfather’s counter
gone cold,
still waiting
for someone better.
Color story
A textured off white paper background sets a calm, minimal tone. The poem is printed in a warm taupe gray, gentle and readable. At the bottom, a small ceramic sugar packet holder sits in soft shadows with creamy whites, light beiges, and a hint of muted gold. A faint coffee ring stain circles the lower right, adding warmth and lived in nostalgia.
